Most sessions take place in beautiful outdoor locations around Perth. I have a number of favourite spots that work particularly well for dogs, including bush locations, river areas, and open landscapes that give us lots of variety in your photos.

I usually avoid busy suburban parks because they tend to be crowded, have limited scenery and aren't giving the magical feel of nature locations.

That is completely okay and honestly very normal. As a certified dog trainer, I am more than happy to work with all kinds of dogs. In our shoot together, your dog truthfully does not need to do anything except have a good time!

My sessions are designed around the dog’s personality, not around perfect obedience. We take things slowly, allow your dog to explore and capture natural moments as they happen.

Some of the most loved photos actually come from those little in-between moments when your dog is just being themselves.

Sessions are relaxed and feel much more like a walk with your dog than a formal photoshoot - even when you're in them!

We spend time letting your dog explore the location first so they can settle in and feel comfortable. From there I gently guide you and your dog into moments that photograph beautifully while still feeling natural.

There is always plenty of time for breaks and cuddles and I work at your dog’s pace throughout the session. The goal is simply to create a happy, enjoyable experience that results in genuine images of your dog and the bond you share.

Most sessions take place around sunset when the light is soft and magical. This type of light creates the beautiful glow you often see in my images and also helps keep temperatures comfortable for dogs especially in our warm summers.

Occasionally sunrise sessions are possible as well, particularly for certain locations.

Absolutely, and I always encourage it.

While your dog is of course the star of the session - I like to call my photoshoots "dog centered" -, the connection between you and your dog is often the most meaningful part of the images. Many clients tell me later that those photos together become their favourites.

You do not need to worry about posing or knowing what to do. I will guide you so everything feels relaxed and natural.
