Outdoor dog photography in Joondalup
Looking for outdoor dog photography in Joondalup that feels natural, relaxed and genuinely you?
I’m a professional dog photographer based in Perth’s northern suburbs, creating golden light, outdoor sessions for dogs and the humans who adore them.
From coastal dunes to quiet bushland, Joondalup offers some of the most beautiful natural backdrops in WA for heartfelt dog photography.
If you’re dreaming of images that capture your dog’s personality, not stiff poses, you’re in the right place.
Lake Gnagara at Sunset
Joondalup is one of my favourite areas for dog photoshoots. It offers variety without the chaos of busier inner-city locations.
We can shoot in beautiful spaces like:
- Neil Hawkins Park for soft lakeside light and trees
- Yellagonga Regional Park for bushland textures and golden sunsets
- Nearby coastlines like Burns Beach and Mullaloo Beach for dreamy beach sessions
All about the Joondalup Dog Photoshoot Experience
I specialise in natural, outdoor dog photography that feels relaxed and true to your dog’s personality.
My sessions are never about stiff poses or perfectly obedient behaviour. Did you know that most dogs I meet are on lead for the entire time of our photoshoot?
You won’t be rushed through a checklist of poses and your dog doesn’t need to perform or be flawlessly trained.
Before your session, we take the time to talk about the kind of images you’re drawn to, whether that’s playful action shots, softer portraits or beautiful moments of you and your dog together. We also chat about your dog’s temperament, energy levels and any quirks I should know about so I can plan the session in a way that sets them up for success.
Together we choose the right location north of the river that best suits your vision, whether that’s quiet bushland, open parkland or a coastal setting at sunset.
During the shoot, I gently guide the experience while staying responsive to the dog in front of me.
Some dogs are bold and adventurous, others are more sensitive and need a slower pace. I adjust to their rhythm, not the other way around. That flexibility is what allows us to create images that feel connected and full of emotion rather than staged or forced.

Booking Your Joondalup Dog Photography Session
If you’ve been thinking about booking a dog photoshoot in Joondalup, consider this your gentle nudge to stop waiting for the “perfect” moment.
Dogs grow older far quicker than we ever expect. Their faces change, their energy shifts and the small everyday things you adore about them slowly evolve.
Life gets busy, seasons pass and somehow we convince ourselves there will always be more time. The truth is, there isn’t a perfect time. There is just the time we choose to make.
I would love to create something meaningful with you, somewhere beautiful, that you can look back on for years to come.
Enquire today to book your outdoor dog photography session in Joondalup and let’s start planning something that feels truly personal to you and your dog.
